Over a period of more than 16 years, our Director, Kate Strohm has run workshops for both parents and for providers all around Australia and overseas. Held in rural, remote and urban locations, these workshops raise awareness of the challenges faced by siblings and the support they need.

Parents take away a range of practical strategies to incorporate into their family.
Service providers can explore how they can improve the support provided to siblings and whole families, individually and with other workers. The workshops are a great way to network with others who have a similar interest in strengthening families, and are suitable for disability or health workers, educators, counsellors and community workers.
Siblings Australia has developed a peer support program for 8-12 year old siblings, Sibworks, which has been evaluated by the University of Adelaide. There are options for training in this model and there is a program manual available together with activity booklets for the children.
If you would like to learn more about the workshops please download a flyer, check our events page or contact us.
