ParentVoices is a voluntary advisory group for parents of siblings. If you would like to join our other advisory groups, please click on SibVoices or TeenSibVoices.

Calling parents…. would you like to contribute to our work supporting children who have a brother or sister with disability? As part of our exciting new Stronger Siblings, Stronger Families’ project we are undertaking a range of new activities.

We want to make sure we tailor sibling resources and services to the issues that affect you and your family now!

Therefore, we are launching ‘ParentVoices’ – an advisory group for our project, which will enable parents of siblings of children with disability to contribute to our work in meaningful ways. We will not be asking for a big commitment; your involvement will be on a voluntary basis, and you can stop participating at any stage. We will ask you to:

  • share your ideas
  • give feedback
  • influence change

This might involve surveys, email feedback, or a zoom meeting with other parents from around Australia. We may also ask if you are interested in taking a leadership role with other parents of siblings in your local area, but this will be entirely voluntary.

You may have particular skills to contribute but these are not necessary to be a part of the group, e.g:

  • online and content development
  • social media influence
  • leadership
  • training and education
  • NDIS knowledge/experience
  • advocacy

If you are at all interested in joining ParentVoices, please register your interest on the form below. Please note that your details will remain confidential.
